Draw a pattern, open a vault. Each pattern you draw opens its own vault, so you can keep one for private photos, one for IDs and documents, and a second one to show people if you’re ever asked. There’s no list of vaults anywhere in the app, so nobody can tell how many you have. ShyVault needs no account, no email and no password stored on a server.

Photos, videos and documents in one place. Add files from Photos, from Files, from the camera inside ShyVault, from the document scanner, or from the Share button in any app. Live Photos keep their motion, and ShyVault can remove the originals from your Photos library for you. Keep things in folders, search them, and save notes for passwords and ID numbers.

Private by design. ShyVault uses AES-256 encryption with a key stretched from your pattern by Argon2id and tied to the iPhone’s Secure Enclave. Screenshots and screen recordings of the vault come out black, and the vault locks the moment you leave the app. When you share a photo out of ShyVault, its location and camera details are removed first.

Free encrypted backup. Vaults back up to your own iCloud, encrypted before they leave your iPhone. On a new iPhone, you open each vault again with its recovery phrase.

ShyVault Pro adds unlimited vaults, sync between iPhone and iPad, shared read-only vaults that open with a twelve-word code, a duress pattern that opens a decoy vault and hides the others, and a disguised app icon such as a calculator or a printer.

Pricing: the free plan includes 3 vaults, 100 photos and 10 videos, with encrypted iCloud backup. ShyVault Pro is $1.99 a week, $5.99 a month, $19.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, or $39.99 once for Lifetime. The Family plan covers up to six people for $49.99 a year or $99.99 once.
