The Lonely DevOps is a free browser-based arcade game from MeteorOps in which you play the sole DevOps engineer of a made-up company, clicking blocks back into a stack before prod collapses and shooing away developers whose requests keep piling up.

What is The Lonely DevOps?

The Lonely DevOps is a single-player browser game that simulates five minutes of a one-engineer DevOps week. You supply clicks or taps: push falling blocks back into the stack, answer the developers who walk up with requests, and spend the revenue the tower earns on bots and Terraform so the work happens without you. The output is a valuation score written to a public high-score table under the name you type at the start; the company name is generated for you. It is made by MeteorOps, a DevOps consultancy, and runs in any modern desktop or mobile browser with no install, account, or email gate.

What makes The Lonely DevOps stand out?

• Block-pushing core loop — blocks drop onto the stack and a click pushes each one back in; letting the stack slide off the top ends the run.
• Developer interruptions — developers arrive with requests and must be answered, otherwise they accumulate alongside the falling blocks.
• In-game automation purchases — bots and Terraform are bought with the revenue your stack earns while prod stays up, so no real money changes hands.
